One Month in The van!
After one month do you want to kill each other? How the hell can you begin to make this decision to move into a van
“less than 50 square foot
but more life per square foot.”
Would we ever go back? F*ck no!! this has been the best decision we have ever made. Moving out of the apartment that was costing us $1600 a month was slowing forcing us to be indoor and stingy people.
By doing this we became much more able to travel wide and far.
Alesha & Kodiak
Her Side
Moving into the van meant losing a lot of space and creature habits. Some of the most painful were what Kodiak calls my “goo.” This was everything that I had collected in was of lotions, bath products, and shampoos. it was hard to start to get rid of this stuff, however, it became so much easier once I realized I never used any of it anyways.
His Side
Even though I had much less to get rid of I still had a hard time letting some things go. Mainly it was things like shirts and sweatshirts. they held “memories” in them. I laugh a little about this just because now I realize memories are all in my mind. 🙂
Together
Neither of us know what this will lead to, but the ride has been amazing!

The First Month
Our first month was done on a long trip. The first trip was 4,000 miles done in 2 weeks…..yeah nuts, right? What made us want to do this. When we got married we said that the 6 month anniversary marked the date we were going to leave and travel to those we couldn’t have at our wedding. It just so happened that was when our lease ran out. So with no home to go back so we left to see family in California and Louisiana.
We make the most
